It assesses students&#8217; understanding of core concepts, analytical skills, and research aptitude, adhering strictly to the guidelines prescribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the affiliating university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Examination Schedule Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>PIOIL follows a <strong>Semester System<\/strong> with two major examination periods per academic year:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Odd Term Examinations:<\/strong> Held in <strong>December<\/strong> (for Semesters I &amp; III).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Even Term Examinations:<\/strong> Held in <strong>May\/June<\/strong> (for Semesters II &amp; IV).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Re-evaluation and Scrutiny<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students who are dissatisfied with their results may apply for <strong>Re-evaluation<\/strong> or <strong>Scrutiny<\/strong> within 15 days of the result declaration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The application must be submitted along with the requisite fee to the Examination Branch. The decision of the Re-evaluation Committee is final.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Re-appear \/ Compartment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students failing to secure the minimum passing grade (&#8216;C&#8217;) in a course must re-appear in that paper during the subsequent offering of the examination (typically in the corresponding semester of the next academic year).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A maximum of three attempts is permitted to clear any course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Unfair Means (UFM)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Any student found using unfair means during the examination will be dealt with severely as per the Institute&#8217;s strict anti-malpractice policy.
